The Vampire Facelift

The basic PRP treatment has been used for almost 20 years to accelerate the healing of wounds and burnt skin, and help athletes. But it was when Dr. Charles Runels from Alabama trademarked the name “Vampire Facelift” in 2010

The Vampire Facelift® $1500 (without filler $900)

Vampire® (PRP)Facelift: Latest non-surgical facial rejuvenation procedure which combines powerful growth factors from platelet rich plasmas (PRP) therapy and facial fillers to effectively address volume loss, improve skin tone and texture while promoting collagen re-growth. A medical provider will draw your blood and use a special centrifuge to separate PRP and RBCs (Red Blood Cells), then extract the PRP and inject into the areas of volume loss. One of the (HA) hyaluronic acid  fillers mentioned above may also be utilized if necessary to achieve the desired long lasting, youthful effect.

The Vampire Facelift® uses platelet rich protein and dermal fillers to create a beautiful, youthful facial shape. Then multi-potent stem cells grow new tissue includes new collagen, new fatty tissue (for smoothness), and new blood vessels (for a healthy glow).

What do you see when you look in the mirror?

  • Gray skin because of reduced blood flow
  • Droopy facial shape as muscle and collagen decrease
  • Uneven skin texture

Unlike most procedures, the Vampire Facelift® offers a way of both restoring shape, and improving tone and texture, as well as literally rejuvenating new and younger tissue!

Okay so you’re interested, let’s discuss the process…

We use a Hyaluronic Acid (HA) filler such as Voluma or Juvederm® to sculpt a younger appearing face while still keeping the shape natural.

After creating a younger, natural shape, the physician harvests from the patient’s own blood, growth factors, which the body would normally use to heal damaged tissue. In this application, the growth factors bring more vitality to aged tissue and offer a more youthful glow and appearance.

Using about 2 teaspoons of your blood and a centrifuge, the physician isolates platelets from that blood (platelet-rich plasma or PRP) all within about 10 minutes in the office!

Using numbing cream and a very small needle with almost no pain, the physician injects your own growth factors back into your face. These growth factors then activate stem cells already in the skin. This tricks your cells into thinking that there has been an injury and new younger tissue should be generated. The stem cells then develop into new collagen, new blood vessels, and new fatty tissue trying to “repair” the skin!

The result… a return to the lively, rosy hue often seen plainly in playing children. The effects of the procedure improve for 2 to 3 months and last for at least 1 to 2 years!
